We’d scored ourselves a client specialising in debt capital and risk management solutions and a two week deadline.
Don’t jump the gun and presume that last sentence was sarcasm. It wasn’t. We love a challenge and visually communicating ‘debt capital and risk management solutions’ through the medium of website excited us. The extent of my knowledge about this client was that they required a professional and concise website unlike their competitors’ - who tended to focus a lot on aerial shots of yachts which I had difficulty drawing relevant parallels to - and they needed it fast.
To deliver the best we have, we have to understand the best we can, and this involves learning our clients. Who they are. Who they want to grow up to be. What they do. Why they’re the best option in a plethora of choices. We learn about our clients’ profiles and personalities every day at Marketing Eye, then employ our marketing prowess to communicate their story, their facts and their benefits. We do so visually and lyrically and aim to smash this communication out of the ball park every time, in this instance, through the medium of a website.
Great. Equipped with an in-depth and comprehensive understanding and our skills, we got busy.
We opted for a series of black and white images in developing a brand that is professional, clean, provides facts and is confident in advising. The images themselves are abstract in communicating Magma’s mantra – strategy, teamwork, impartiality and independence, solutions, innovation and achievement. We chose to use the deep crimson of Magma’s already developed logo as an accent to create consistency and reinforce confidence and strength in a sturdy brand. The layout and navigation is clean and easy and the horizontal/vertical axes help to convey authority, relating to a financial and compliant domain.
The result? That smashing website we wanted and an accolade from one of Magma’s Principals:
