Marketing is a sexy industry - or at least we think so! Everybody started from somewhere; Jennifer Aniston was a waitress, Michael Dell worked in a Chinese shop and Warren Buffett was a newspaper boy. The moral of this story is that you can be anything you want to be - but you just need a start.

Now, this job probably is not your 'start' per se, but it is part of your journey to career fulfilment.

Marketing Eye, a team of talented marketers, creatives and support staff, are looking for someone to join the team. Not just anyone. We are really looking for someone quite special. Administration and Accounts is the support infrastructure to the entire business. It ensures that everything is running smoothly, that bills are paid on time and that we get those invoices out so that we all can get paid.

Having said that, we are looking for someone who does a lot more than just that! They need to have personality, want more out of life and know that if they had the job, they would be the best administration/accounts person we ever have had. Perhaps the best in any agency around the world! We think big and we want someone to join the team that thinks the same. There's plenty of opportunity to put your personal stamp on the role and let it take you to any job that you are looking to progress to. That means Office Manager, Marketing Co-ordinator, Media Manager or really any job that you really have your heart set on.

You do need to have a great telephone voice, sense of pride and MYOB skills. An absolute bonus would be skills in payroll and BAS - but if you are right, we would be happy to send you on courses to do these things. Your personality and attention to detail is far more important to us.

Marketing Eye is an innovative company that really makes a difference to the companies we work with. Our marketers are outstanding and are supported by great creative and web development.  In short, we do what we do better than anyone else.

When you start, we will celebrate your arrival. You will learn about Marketing Eye through a series of podcasts and presentations and then you will be given the reins to administration and accounts. From there, it’s up to you.

After month 3, we will need to sit down and 'chew the fat' by finding out what your career ambitions are. Is it to work for a charity? Is it to be an Accountant? Is it to get into a profession like marketing? Whatever it is, we will work with you to achieve your goals.

    Loving the job advertisement. You really are marketing your company at the same time when placing job advertisements, and as you want the best person for the job, you have to market your company as the most attractive place to work at in order for the best people to apply.

    What I find as the most appealing job advertisements are the ones that have a personal touch. An 'ice cold' approach merely listing the requirements in bullet points conveys an image of a company that is not only impersonal but also an unfriendly place to work at.

    The best job advertisements, on the other hand, add a dash of fun to their ads and make you believe that working for the company could actually be rather pleasant. Would not mind seeing more of these ads out there!
