My earliest memory of my birthday is when I was 7 years old and I thought my Mum and Dad had forgotten my birthday. I was devastated.

Then I went to school and was sad all day until in the afternoon, this enormous cake and balloons came into my class and everyone sang happy birthday. It was so special that I was able to celebrate with my entire class at school.

Now, as I get older, birthday’s don’t seem to have the same importance. It’s just another year and to be totally honest, getting older isn’t so exciting.

In business, celebrating birthdays with our clients and employees is an important way in to ignite a sense of belonging to the brand that you have developed. Put the date in all your employees diaries and celebrate your businesses birthdays with group bonding sessions, birthday cake and balloons. Afterall, having a business is something to celebrate!
