When you are a small business owner, sometimes there is just too much to think about. There’s staffing issues, finance, marketing, management and sales. Every time you tackle one issue, another comes along. If you have a peaceful week, where everything seems to be in place, then you sit there wondering when the next big issues is going to come up. You know it’s there, but when is it going to hit you?
Marketing is no different. Listen to what your staff have to say about marketing. Where do they think the business should go. You may not take it all on-board, but there might be something there, that is worth doing.
It might come from the receptionist, or perhaps your accountant – be open, unblock your ears and listen to what others have to say.
As entrepreneurs, we don’t have all the answers, but we do have the decision making power. Listening is free and only takes up time that will benefit you and your business.
